Chandigarh August 11: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today congratulated and extended warm wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

 In a message issued here today on the eve of Janmashtami, the Chief Minister said that the divine message given by Lord Shri Krishna to Arjuna on  the battlefield of Kurukshetra, have been mentioned in the Holy Book Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. He said that this Holy Scripture, Gita is a philosophical tradition and an inspiration for all humanity.

The Chief Minister said that Lord Krishna’s teachings give us cosmic and spiritual education. He said that in Gita, Lord Shri Krishna himself said ‘Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kada Chana’ meaning that ‘One should perform one’s duties and not expect the results.’

The Chief Minister said that for the last nearly six years, he has been selflessly serving the people of the State by imbibing these values.  He said that the teachings and philosophy of Lord Shri Krishna are still relevant today and we must follow them to live a successful life.

He said that amid COVID-19 Pandemic, everyone should celebrate the festivals and religious events, while following social distancing norms.

another side, Haryana Home and Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij has extended greetings to the people of the state for Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

He said that in view of the COVID-19 pandemic people of the state should be conscious and celebrate festivals at home to ensure safety.

He said that Lord Krishna has given us the message to always do good deeds through ‘Shrimad Bhagavad Gita’ and to inspire humanity for eternity.
