Plant a sapling upload a photo and get an award from the CM

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that with the help of people, the Ankur programme has been launched with the aim of expanding the green cover of the state and making the environment clean and enriching the nature with life-sustaining air. Under the programme, for the purpose of encouraging the general public for plantation, selected winners who planted saplings will be awarded with Pranvayu Award.
Process to take part in the programme
To participate in the programme, one has to download ‘Vayudoot App’ from Google Play-stores and register. The person participating in the programme will have to plant at least one sapling from his own resource and take a photo of the plant and upload it through the app. Thirty days after planting the sapling, again the new photo of the sapling can be uploaded on the app and the participation certificate can be downloaded. District-wise selected winners will be awarded the Pranvayu Award, under which a certificate will be provided by the Chief Minister.
All districts will have nodal officers and verifiers
Environmental Planning and Coordination Organisation (EPCO) has been made the nodal agency by the state government for the implementation of Ankur programme. The District Collector will appoint the senior officer of the district as the District Nodal Officer for this task. The local verifier will be nominated and posted in ‘Vayudoot App’ according to the requirement by the District Nodal Officer.
Winners will be selected through computerized lottery
Verifiers will be nominated from among the volunteers of Jan-Abhiyan Parishad, in-charges of Eco Clubs of colleges and master trainers of National Green Corps Scheme in the district. Verification of 10 percent of the total entries received at the district level or 200, whichever is less, will be done on a random basis. From the total entries received at the district level, the winners will be selected by computerized lottery. The list of winners will be uploaded in ‘Vayudoot App’.
