The second part of Monsoon Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha will begin from November 5

Chandigarh, October 20:  The second part of Monsoon Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha will begin from November 5, 2020. During this period, pending bills will be discussed and the legislative business will be completed.

In this regard, Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta made an official announcement here today. He said that information from the Haryana Government was received regarding commencement of second part of Monsoon Session from November 5, 2020. Therefore preparations have been started in this direction.

Significantly, the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha had started on August 26, 2020. At that time Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, Speaker Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Gian Chand Gupta and a large number of MLAs had tested COVID positive and the risk of virus spread was very high in the country as well as in the state. Due to this, the monsoon session was adjourned indefinitely.

Mr. Gian  Chand Gupta said that as  now the risk of COVID-19 infection spread has started to reduce therefore the second part of the Monsoon Session will commence from November 5, 2020,  however due care will be taken regarding following of COVID-19 guidelines while conducting this session.

He said that the directions issued by the World Health Organization and the Union Home Ministry regarding COVID- 19 will be strictly adhered to.

For coverage of the Monsoon Session, the Press Gallery will be set up at Haryana Niwas in Sector 3. All media personnel will cover the session from there. Special arrangements will be made to maintain social distancing throughout the session.  For this, both the auditoriums of Haryana Niwas will be booked and this place will be declared as Vidhan Sabha premises till the session term, informed Mr. Gian Chand Gupta.

Along with this, a big screen will also be installed  at the Haryana Niwas so as to ensure that the session proceedings are clearly viewed by media personnel. Three special cameras will be installed in the Vidhan Sabha for the telecast of the session proceedings.
