The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 679220 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on eleventh day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 679220 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 678115 MT of wheat 1105 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 151860 metric tonnes, MARKFED 147408 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 147021 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 106484 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 77365 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 47977 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 4186651 MT.
