‘Recovery rate touches 81%; positivity rate dips to 3%’
POONCH, JUNE 02, 2021: Deputy Commissioner, Inderjeet today said that 74 percent persons above 45 years have been inoculated in Poonch district, while the recovery rate has touched 81 percent, which shows considerable improvement in the covid containment in the district.
The DC, while briefing media about the current covid situation , informed that the total active cases in the district as on date are 945, while the recovery rate has improved to 81%. He informed that 74 percent population of 45+ category has been Vaccinated in the district,
He added that there are 17 micro Containment zones in the district and positivity rate has come down to 3%. He further said that 2870 Covid Kits have been provided to 229 Panchayat level Covid Care Centres.
With regard to availability of Oxygen, he informed that Plants at Mandi and Poonch are under construction, while one each plant has been sanctioned for Surankote and Mendhar.
The Deputy Commissioner further disclosed that auditing regarding basic facilities in Panchayat level Covid Care Centre is being done by BDOs, they shall submit report by today evening.
He further informed that the basic data of various NGOs working in the district is being prepared and their services shall be utilized whenever and wherever necessary.
The DC requested the general public do not let down the guard post lockdown and follow Covid appropriate behavior so that success achieved in containing transmission does not go waste.
He requested the religious leaders/media persons and Prominent citizens to cooperate and spread awareness amongst the locals masses to follow the SOPs.
