Chandigarh, July 8 – Haryana Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh said that two hours additional power supply will be given to the farmers for sowing paddy due to delay in monsoon season in the state. It will be supplied to the farmers with immediate effect, he added.
Sh. Ranjit Singh informed that this decision has been taken as per the instructions of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal. He said that farmers would now get 10 hours of power supply instead of 8 hours for sowing paddy. This will help the farmers to overcome the shortage of water in the crop. He said that this facility of providing additional power for two hours would be given to them till the onset of monsoon.
The Power Minister said that sufficient amount of power is available in the state and farmers will not be allowed to face any kind of problem.
