transferred 941 drivers and conductors from Faridabad.

Chandigarh, August 1- After successful implementation of the Online Transfer Policy in many departments of Haryana Government, from today onwards this policy has also come into force in the Transport Department. Transport Minister, Mr. Mool Chand Sharma today transferred 941 drivers and conductors from Faridabad.

          Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mool Chand Sharma said that  941 employees who have been transferred online today include 565 drivers and 376 conductors. Of these, 258 drivers and 198 conductors have got the station of their first choice.

          The Minister congratulated the senior officers and employees of the department and said that now under this policy the drivers and conductors will be able to get themselves transferred to the station of their own choices.

          He said that as the entire transfer process is online, therefore employees will not have to travel to Chandigarh office to get their transfers done.

          On this occasion Mr. Rajeev Nagpal, General Manager of Roadways Depot Faridabad and Mr. N.K. Garg, General Manager Palwal Depot, were present.  While, Director-General Transport Department Mr. Virender Dahiya and Joint Director State Transport, Mrs. Meenaxee Raj were connected from Chandigarh through video conference.
