Chandigarh, May 18 :- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today visited Bhai Kanhaiya Ashram being run under the aegis of Bhai Kanhaiya Manav Seva Trust in Sirsa and met destitute elders and children and inquired about their well being. On this occasion, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, MP, Smt. Sunita Duggal and others were present on the occasion. In addition, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Ajay Singh Tomar and Superintendent of Police, Dr. Arpit Jain, Trust President, Sh. Gurvinder Singh, and others were present.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced an amount of Rs. 21 lakh to Bhai Kanhaiya Manav Seva Trust. He said that in addition to this, a provision of Rs. 11 lakh will be made to the Trust annually under any scheme. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Chief Service Officer, Bhai Kanhaiya Ashram, Sh. Gurvinder Singh, and Trustee, Sh. Sanjeev Jain. Apart from this, he announced that soon the land for a hospital, demanded by the Trust, will be identified and given to the Trust.
Human service is the biggest service: Chief Minister
Sh. Manohar Lal said that human service is the biggest service and Bhai Kanhaiya Manav Seva Trust is doing this work very well. The dedication and tenacity with which the work is being done by the Trust is very commendable. The joy of service is of a different kind, only the person doing service knows how much pleasure he gets from it. He said that every person needs bread, clothes, house, but the satisfaction of the mind is paramount. If a person’s mind is satisfied, then the importance of other needs become less. He said that those who are engaged in the work of service are blessed. The Chief Minister said that the government is giving a pension of Rs. 2,500 per month to the differently-abled children. He said that we should think above the provincial boundaries, keeping this concept in mind, some provision would be made by the state government to help the differently-abled people living in Haryana of other states, so that such ashrams could be established. He said that there are lakhs of people in the country and the state who are physically handicapped by birth or due to accident or mentally handicapped, it is a big task to serve such people. We are working with the spirit of Seva Paramo Dharma.
