AAP for judicial probe into ‘dummy’ auction of  Gharancho village  ‘shamlat’ land

Sangrur, July 30

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has demanded that the Punjab government in the saddle should order a time-bound judicial probe into the fake (dummy) auction of ‘shamlat’ land of the Gharancho village in the district.

In a statement issued on Thursday, party district president Rajwant Singh Ghulli alleged state Education Minister and MLA from Sangrur Vijay Inder Singla was  solely responsible for fomenting trouble among the people over the sensitive issue. He accused the Bhavanigarh police of torturing Dalit families fighting against government bullying the protesters and strongly condemned the detention of around 100 heads of ‘dalits’ community in police station without valid reasons.

He demanded the cases registered against the villagers, who were raising their voice against the injustice meted out to them, be withdrawn immediately, besides pitching for a time-barred judicial probe into the matter.

He alleged that Vijay Inder Singla was trying to stoke flames of bitterness in the village and society for the sake of his henchmen.
