Adhar Enrolment: DC Shopian

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 17

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Chaudhry Mohammad Yasin today inaugurated Aadhar Enrolment process (age group 5-18 years) under Samagra Shiksha Programme at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS), here.

The programme was organised by Chief Education Officer Shopian and is an endeavor of the Department of School Education. Speaking on the occasion, DC emphasized upon the concerned Aadhar Enrolment process data trainers to make the process a great success and ensure more enrolments on daily basis from 10 am to 05 pm, so that left out school going students are able to obtain their Adhar ID and take advantage of the same at an earliest.
He added that many such Aadhar Enrolment Centres have been established at various educational institutions in the district and added that people above 18 years of age can also come to these centres and avail the benefits. It was informed on the occasion that more than 12000 school going children of Govt. Institutions in the district are still without Aadhar ID’s.
Later, DDC took stock of ongoing works at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, he exhorted upon the concerned executing agencies for early completion of the remaining construction works and assured fencing of the school wall as soon as possible. Among others, CEO Shopian, Principle Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, Teachers and other concerned officers and officials were present on the occasion.
