Air India, the national airline of India, has done great efforts to successfully launch a special airplane named as Air India One or AI-1 for the movement for VIP persons of the Indian government which include the Prime Minister and the President. The flight would not be operated by a normal pilot but by pilots of Indian Air Force (IAF). Amid the pandemic, the plane arrived later than the fixed date but it can be considered worth the wait because of its advanced technology and comfort.
This plane would carry around Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ramnath Kovind, whenever needed. It is completely safe because of the technology used. It was prepared and imported from America recently. This plane cannot be hacked and its audio and video communications would work mid-air with all safety measures.
The plane landed on Indian International Airport at Delhi. For security reasons it is equipped with missile deflecting system. The overall cost of the plane is 14 billion rupees. It has highly trained commandos which can protect the VIP’s in case of any intrusion. Further security features include flares which can deviate the path of targeted missiles.
To not hamper the work of the President and Prime Minister, the plane is also equipped with a bedroom and an office. For everybody’s safety, all on board are required to wear colored identity cards. The VIP’s and their secretaries are supposed to sit together and wear a purple colored identity card. The bureaucrats have been given color pink. The Delhi Police and all the staff of VIP’s are given the tag of Red. The journalists would wear the color yellow.
The amount spent on the plane is worth it because of its striking features which leaves everybody in an awe.
