Anoop Dhanak directs the District Administration to strengthen the drainage and sewage system for proper drainage of water from the village Rajli.
Chandigarh July, 22- In view of the flood-like situation caused by heavy rains in village Rajli of Hisar district, Haryana Minister of State for Archaeological & Museums and Labour & Employment, Mr. Anoop Dhanak has directed the District Administration to start strengthening the drainage and sewage system for proper drainage of water from the village.
However, in this regard, the Minister on Tuesday inquired about the situation after talking to the villagers. The villagers had then informed that their village had become flood-prone due to heavy rains in the area and they also fear that their crops might also get damaged because of this. According to the villagers, if this water is not drained soon, then it can even enter the village.
The Minister has directed the SDM Barwala and other administrative officers to take appropriate steps and start strengthening the drainage and sewage system so that the water can be drained immediately.
Following the orders of the Minister, SDM had arrived in the village with the officers concerned and started the work for water drainage. Motor pumps have been started to divert water through the rain drain.
The SDM has informed the Minister that two large motor pumps have been installed for drainage and it is expected that the water will be drained soon. Besides duties of officers of various departments have been fixed in the village and the situation is being monitored Day and night.
