DC Connects with farmers to know the reason for stubble burning https://newsmakhani.com/dc-connects-with-farmers-to-know-the-reason-for-stubble-burning/ https://newsmakhani.com/dc-connects-with-farmers-to-know-the-reason-for-stubble-burning/#respond Sun, 14 Jan 2024 13:03:11 +0000 https://newsmakhani.com/?p=189114 Appeals to go for balers before the next paddy season
District Administration reaches out to farmers to sensitise them to manage stubble without burning
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 14, 2024
To sensitise the farmers about the optimum utilisation of stubble management machinery to prevent burning incidents in advance, the District Administration led by Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain established rapport with farmers to apprise them of the huge subsidy schemes available on the machinery.
Meeting the farmers at Banur and Manauli Surat, the Deputy Commissioner said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann government is concerned about the burning incidents that result in damage to the environment as well as flora and fauna.
She said that the National Green Tribunal and Apex Court of India have directed the states to curb the stubble burning incidents, so we should go for an environment-friendly solution with the help of Crop Residue Management Machinery available at a highly subsidised price.
Interacting with the farmers at Banur, she assured them of making the requisite machinery available as per the demand and asked them to apply in the coming days when the portal will be opened on behalf of Panchayats and Co-operative Societies.
She said that the district has been enhancing its stubble fuel-based boiler capacity in the industry, which will increase the existing capacity to 4 lakh Metric Tonnes per annum so they can supply the stubble to these industries.
As the balers are more beneficial for ex-situ disposal of stubble we should opt for the maximum number of bailers to cope with the stubble burning issue.
Similarly, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Mrs Sonam Chaudhary visited the Basma village and appreciated the role of the farmers in dragging the number of fire incidents. Here, the number of burning incidents has shown a decline from seven to single case only.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs Aashika Jain said that we are analysing the villages with the highest count of burning and minimalistic or zero to devise the strategy accordingly.

Lord Ram has geographical, spiritual relations with Punjab: Swami Rajeshwaranand https://newsmakhani.com/lord-ram-has-geographical-spiritual-relations-with-punjab-swami-rajeshwaranand/ https://newsmakhani.com/lord-ram-has-geographical-spiritual-relations-with-punjab-swami-rajeshwaranand/#respond Sun, 14 Jan 2024 12:12:27 +0000 https://newsmakhani.com/?p=189061 Lord Ram has deep relationship with Punjab and Punjabiyat: Swami Rajeshwaranand said while giving examples from Gurbani
While quoting Gurbani, Swami Rajeshwaranand shares Lord Ram’s deep relationship with Punjabiyat

Chandigarh, January 14, 2024

“The geographical and spiritual connection of Lord Shri Ram with Punjab and Punjabiyat is so deep as all the poets, philosophers, scholars and historians associated with Punjabiyat have already talked about it. But, the greatest authentic spiritual fact is from ‘World Guru’ Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, wherein Lord Ram is described as incarnation of Treta Yug”, said Acharya Swami Rajeshwaranand, while sharing his view on the topic ‘Sarv Sanjhi Punjabiyat’. The special lecture was organized by Joshi Foundation in Chandigarh on Sunday, in which Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh Professor Harmohinder Singh Bedi and Major General I.P. Singh (VSM) were special guests, accompanied by Joshi Foundation Chairman Vineet Joshi and President Saurabh Joshi.

While sharing the geographical relationship between Lord Ram and Punjab, Swami Rajeshwaranand said that there are many places in Punjab which have connections with Lord Ram. “The village ‘Ghuram’ on Pehowa Road, about 30 kilometers from Patiala, is known as ‘Kaushalyapuram’ as it is the maternal village of Lord Ram (birthplace of his mother Kaushalya). Also in Kharar, there is ‘Ajj Sarovar’, which is named after Maharaja Ajj, the grandfather of Lord Ram. Luv-Kush’s education in scriptures and weapons took place in Maharishi Valmiki’s ashram in Punjab’s Amritsar and also, it is said that the author of Ramayana Maharishi Valmiki had spent most of his life in Punjab”, Swami Rajeshwaranand said.

The connection of the city of Ayodhya with Sikhism becomes even deeper as three Sikh Gurus had visited the place. “Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru, had in 1557 sat at Brahmakund Ghat on the banks of river Saryu and did satsang under a nearby Bel tree. That tree is adorned even today in the Gurudwara Brahmakund Sahib in Ayodhya. After that, ninth Guru Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, who is known as Hind-ki- Chadar also visited Ayodhya during his visit to Assam and at that time, he had given his Charan Paduka (Khadau) to a Brahim devotee and people still visit to pay obeisance. Thereafter, tenth Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, while going from Patna to Anandpur Sahib, along with Mata Gujri Ji and maternal uncle Kirpal Chand Ji, came to this place and also fed the monkeys, the tradition which continues even today. Guru’s weapons, arrows, daggers and whirligigs are seen even today in the Gurudwara Brahmakund where handwritten BEED is also present”, he added.

Confirming his spiritual point, Swami Rajeshwaranand referred to a Gurbani verse “Tretey Tey Maneyo Ram Raghuvansh Kahaeyo”. Great Gur Sikh Bhai Gurdas ji has said in his VAAR “Tere Satguru Ram Ji Ram Ram Jape Sukh Pave”.

Even in Sri Dasam Granth, Guru Gobind Singh Ji described Lord Ram as incarnation of Treta in his great composition “Rama Avtaar”. Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote that: “Tai hee durga saajake daintaan da naas karaaya. Taitho hee bal raam lai baana dehasar ghaaya. Taitho hee bal krishan lai kans kesee pakad giraaya.”

It is noteworthy that Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Babar were contemporaries. Guru Sahib has described the atrocities of Babar, whose army had demolished the Ram temple and built the Babri Masjid, in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. He had said that: ‘Eti Maar Payi Kurlane Tain Ki Dard Na Aaya’, which described detailed information about the atrocities of Babar.

While concluding his speech, Swami Rajeshwaranand said that on the basis of evidences, it is clear that Lord Ram has a geographical and spiritual connection with Punjab. Therefore, people must come together on the historical day of 22 January, by lighting a lamp (diva) in their homes to remember Shri Ram Ji. “Light the lamp in your mind and bring his messages to life so that love and brotherhood get strengthened in Punjab and the world”, he concluded.

Mann to Kejriwal: Following your footsteps, We are doing honest and transparent politics
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann says AAP will win all 13 MP seats in Punjab

Chandigarh, January 13, 2024

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, on Saturday, applauded the Mann government of Punjab for leading PSPCL to a profit making department.

It is notable that PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) registered Rs 564 crores of profit in the quarter ending September 2023, in contrast against a loss of Rs 1,880 crore during the corresponding period last year. The main factors which helped PSPCL are Pachhwara Coal mine, state owned two power plants- Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant of Lehra Mohabbat and Guru Gobind Singh Super Thermal Power Plant of Rupnagar, surge in power generation at hydel plants, timely payments of subsidies by the AAP government and ample cash flow to the department etc. The constant efforts of the Mann government to improve the public sectors are bearing fruits and the power department of Punjab becoming profitable is an example of their success.

Commending the Mann government for this success, AAP national convenor and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal shared news about PSPCL clocking profit of Rs 564 crore and wrote on X, “Till now a handful of families used to loot all the money of Punjab. The Public was helpless. But with the honest government of the Aam Aadmi Party in power, the things started changing rapidly. These people (previous governments and conventional politicians) looted Punjab for 75 years. It will take time, but everything will be fine.”

Responding to him on X, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wrote, “Arvind Kejriwal ji you lit a torch of honest and transparent politics in our country, Punjab is taking light from the same torch and becoming a hero.” Mann said that the Punjab government is following the footsteps of Arvind Kejriwal and strengthening the public sectors to facilitate the common people of the state. Mann once again hinted at fielding the general election alone in Punjab and said that the AAP will win all the 13 seats of the state.
