Chandigarh, June 16 2021
The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) convoy is increasing day by day in Punjab with people from every section of Punjab joining the party. The party gained strength on Wednesday when Arsh Umriana, who has been campaigning on political, social, economic and judicial issues by cycling in Punjab, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP state Youth Wing co-president Anmol Gagan Mann formally inducted Arsh Umriana in the party fold. Welcoming him during a press conference held at the party headquarters here, Anmol Gagan Mann said that today every section of Punjab was joining the Aam Aadmi Party. She said that Arsh Umriana, a resident of Moga district, has taken the initiative to make the people of Punjab aware about the genocidal policies of the conventional parties on cycle.
Anmol Gagan Mann said that Arsh had so far held its meetings in more than one thousand villages of Punjab and the people of Punjab were impressed by his views. She said that the decision of Arsh Umriana to join the AAP family was commendable. On the occasion, Arsh Umriana said that the ruling Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and Bharatiya Janata Party governments in Punjab had looted and harassed the people. He said that the parties responsible for desecration of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, killing of Sikhs and corruption, cannot bring justice to the people and the BJP government at the Centre was constantly persecuting the farmers and workers.
He said that Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal government has not only supported the farmers but has also established democracy in the true sense by implementing pro-people policies in Delhi. Umriana said that he joined the Aam Aadmi Party as he was impressed by the policies of the party and the work of the Arvind Kejriwal’s government. He said that the youth of Punjab had understood the policies of Congress, Akali Dal Badal and Bharatiya Janata Party and were ready for a change of government in the state. Present on the occasion were Iqbal Singh Mohali, Sarvan Singh Dhun, Gurpreet Singh Bughipura among other leaders.
