The District Administration has cleared all the formalities to install Thapar Model Sewerage System in village Ballan at a cost of Rs. 2 crore.

Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori on thursday had a detailed meeting with the Panchayat, officer concerned and other stakeholders so that the work on this project could be initiated at the earliest. He said that this project would ensure basic amenity in the village thus facilitating the population with cleanliness of the village besides contributing to ensure better health and hygiene environment. Deputy Commissioner also asked to start the physical work on the sewerage project with the cooperation of village Panchayat. Deputy Commissioner said the work would be started in next week and accomplish within stipulated time frame.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Jaspreet Singh informed that the sewerage system would be setup at around three acres of land having piped drainage system covering the entire village. He also pointed out that besides the sewerage system all the village streets would be interlocked at a cost of nearly Rs. 26 lakh.
