BARNALA TO GET ITS OWN MASTERPLAN, IN FINAL STAGES OF COMPLETION, KARAN DHILLON.

MASTERPLAN IMPORTANT STEP IN MAKING BARNALA, PUNJAB’S MOST PROMISING DESTINATION, KARAN DHILLON.

— THE MASTERPLAN WILL HELP WITH THE PLANNED FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF BARNALA AT PAR WITH DISTRICTS LIKE MOHALI, JALANDHAR AND LUDHIANA ETC.

— MASTERPLAN WILL SERVE THE NEEDS OF BARNALA FOR NEXT 20 YEARS.

— MASTERPLAN INCLUDES 28 VILLAGES WITHIN 10 TO 15 KM RADIUS OF BARNALA CITY

Barnala, May 19, 2021:
The preparation of the Masterplan of Barnala has reached its final stages of completion and shall soon be placed in public domain for the larger interest of people of the city.

Chairman, District Planning Board Barnala Mr Karan Dhillon said this while presiding over a video conference here today. While interacting with the deputy commissioner Barnala Mr Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka, state Town Planner from Patiala, Manager Planning PMIDC Mrs Anup Kaur, divisional town planner Sangrur Mr Harindra Pal Singh, executive officer Council Barnala Mr Manpreet Singh Sidhu and urban planner Mrs Neelam. The Chairman of Planning board said that the completion of the Masterplan will be an important step in making Barnala the most promising destination in Punjab and help in its planned and organized development. He further instructed the administration to ensure that the plan will not interfere with the already existing structures and it should work in tandem with the original layout of the city.

He said that with the new Masterplan, Barnala will be competing at par with the developed cities like Chandigarh, Mohali and other such cities which have already got their Masterplans implemented. It will enable to Herald in planned development keeping in mind the needs of people of the city.

He added that Barnala will be the first town in Punjab to get Geographic Information System based Masterplan which when placed into public domain will be able to give all kind of information to its users with the click of a button.

He said that the plan has been prepared to cater to the needs of city in terms of infrastructural development over the next 20 years. Barnala is among the 16 cities of Punjab wherein master plan is being made under the AMRUT scheme of the Centre Government.

The master plan includes 28 villages line within 10 to 15 kilometre radius of the city. He concluded that he along with his father S. Kewal Singh Dhillon have always wanted all round development for Barnala and will continuously keep making sincere efforts for this cause and with proper planning Barnala can be made into Punjab’s best district.
