People of 13 blocks took part in Block Diwas events held at designated locations across Kishtwar district.At the district headquarter Kishtwar, the block Diwas happened under the supervision of Additional District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Hanief Malik, here at Dak Banglow. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Pawan Parihar, District Social Welfare Officer, Tariq Parveaz Qazi, Tehsildar, Pramood Kumar, DYSSO Kharati Lal, besides other officials were present at the event.
The elected PRIs showed their grievances regarding the gaps in local infrastructure in the education and health sectors. The team of officers registered their grievances and made sure that for the early redress of the same. The ADDC asked the heads of all the departments to work as fast as they can to resolve the grievances of the public at their door step within a week’s time. The ADDC also checked the growth in the redressing of grievances projected by the PRIs and people in previous block Diwas programmes.
Meanwhile, the departments sensitized the common masses about the many individual beneficiary schemes and the procedure for availing the benefits. PRIs and public were suggested to take part in developmental processes and extend full cooperation to the line Departments. A number of individual oriented certificates were given on the spot among the beneficiaries.
Other activities were held at the Drabshalla which were presided over by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain in presence of local BDO, Sobia Fatima Shaad.
Redress camps were also held for sub-division Chatroo at at TRC Mughal Maidan under the chairmanship of local SDM, Inderjeet Singh Parihar. At Marwah, block diwas took place under the overall management of BDO, Amjad Keen.
