The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital Panjab University Chandigarh along with Rotaract club organised a Blood Donation Camp in the library of the dental institute today.
Prof Sudhir Kumar, Dean Research of the Panjab University was the first to contribute in this noble cause.
The students and faculty of the dental institute participated. Doctors and nurses were present throughout taking care of the donors and guiding them. According to Dr. Vivek Kapoor program officer NSS, 28 units of blood were collected and sent to the blood bank to be used later for the needy. The donors were given healthy refreshments to energize their bodies.
