CEC Feroz Khan takes stock of pace of implementation of JJM works in Kargil Sets block-wise timelines for AEEs, stresses for completion of works without delay

KARGIL, AUGUST 18, 2021 In order to take stock of the pace of progress achieved on various on-going Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works in the district, Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan convened a meeting of the concerned officers here today.
Executive Councilor for Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil Ved Prakash, Executive Engineer PHE Subhash Chandra, engineers of PHE besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
During the course of meeting, CEC Khan took detailed review of the block wise targets achieved by the concerned AEEs.
While highlighting the importance of JJM in providing clean and safe drinking water to every rural household through functional household tap connections and its completion well within the timeline which is 15th August, 2022, CEC Khan set 2 months block-wise target for every AEE. He also stressed that the targets should be completed on a war footing basis during the current working season without any delay.
The CEC also directed the Executive Engineer PHE to prepare a list of the villages where land or any other issues are causing disruption on work. He also said that a meeting will be held with the representatives of such villages to solve the issues on priority basis.
