CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it should be made sure that water reaches the last farmer’s field in all the projects being constructed under Narmada Valley Development. For this, ministers and officers must visit their areas. Procurement of cent percent profit for the investment being made for Narmada Valley development must be ensured. CM Shri Chouhan said that the problems being faced by the farmers in the fields where water is going through pipes should also be surveyed. If farmers have any problem then it should be solved immediately. CM Shri Chouhan said that the supply of water will definitely increase the production of farmers. A sense of responsibility must be developed in farmers to deposit water and electricity charges. This responsibility should be handed over to the committees of farmers. CM Shri Chouhan was addressing the 70th meeting of Narmada Control Board held in Mantralaya.

Public Works Minister Shri Gopal Bhargav, Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Shri Kamal Patel, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsi Silavat, Finance Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Revenue and Transport Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput, Minister of State for Narmada Valley Development Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Chairman Narmada Valley Development Authority and Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Vice President Narmada Valley Development and Additional Chief Secretary Shri I.C.P. Kesari were present in the meeting. Revised administrative approval was granted to Shaheed Bhima Nayak Sagar (Lower Goi) project. Along with this, approval was given for extension of time in the work of construction of the right bank main canal of Bargi Diversion Project from 104 kms to 129 kms including Slimnabad Tunnel. The time extension of the contract for the construction work of Jawar Micro Irrigation Project was also approved in the meeting. In the meeting of the Control Board, approval was also given for extension of time in the contract of construction work of group micro irrigation projects of Killaud, Pamakhedi, Bhurlai, Kodwar and Punasa Extension. Along with this, approval was given to increase the irrigated area of ​​ISP Kalisindh Lift Micro Irrigation Project.
