Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended greetings and congratulations to the citizens of the state on the occasion of Panchayati Raj Day. He said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, all the panchayats of the country are being made prosperous and villages are being redeveloped. This is a major step towards strengthening local bodies. Panchayats are being empowered with the aim of making villages self-reliant. This will enable the Panch-Sarpanch and the representatives at Janpad (block) and District Panchayat levels to fulfill their roles more effectively.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, in a message released to the media on Thursday, said that the panchayat system has been significant in India since ancient times. To promote village culture, the state government is moving towards making every household like Gokul. For this, the Vrindavan Yojana has been prepared. The government will develop one village in each development block as a Vrindavan Gram (Vrindavan Village).
He said that several important decisions have been taken for the welfare of panchayats, villages, and farmers.
