Congress sweeps District Cooperative Union (DCU) Ludhiana elections

Ludhiana, November 25 2021

The Indian National Congress today swept the District Cooperative Union (DCU) Ludhiana elections held here today. The Congress party won 6 out of 8 zones unopposed, two zones were cancelled while elections for remaining two zones would be held tomorrow.

District Congress Committee (DCC) Ludhiana (Rural) president Karanjit Singh Soni Galib congratulated the winners on their historic win today.

Gurjit Singh from The Bhundri MPCASS zone, Rajbaljit Singh from The Ajnaud MPCASS zone, Jagir Singh from The Hambran MPCASS zone, Jagtar Singh from The Mehdoodan MPCASS zone, Ramandeep Singh from The Bhattian Bet L/C Soc zone and Ajmel Singh from The Ludhiana Inter H/B zone won the elections unopposed today.

Karanjit Singh Soni Galib said that today’s victory shows that people have full faith in the policies and leadership of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and the entire Congress party. For the last several months, Congress party has been clean sweeping all elections of the cooperative department and in the recently held Verka Milk Plant Ludhiana elections, the party has won 11 out of 12 zones.
