— New GHS Hagniss school building approved at Rs 5 crore, construction work to start next summer
Kargil, November 18:
Councillor Chiktan Constituency, Kacho Liquyat Ali Khan along with a delegation of Hagniss village today met Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain in his office chamber and discussed various issues relating to the constituency.
Following a thorough discussion about the Chiktan Constituency, it was revealed that a new school building for Government HS Hagniss, designed under the CBSE pattern, has been approved with an estimated cost of Rs 5 crore. The construction contract has been awarded to the agency and work is scheduled to commence next summer.
Similarly, compound walling for Govt. HS Hagniss has been sanctioned with an estimated cost of Rs 1 crore and AAA has been accorded and tenders have been floated accordingly.
In order to resolve the drinking water issue of the institution, another Submersible Pump will be installed in GHS Hagniss to resolve the drinking water issue. The Executive Engineer PHE has directed to start the installation work within a week.
The EC and Councillor Chiktan Constituency congratulated the residents of Hagniss village, with special commendation to the dedicated staff and students of GHS Hagniss as it was the longstanding demand within the education sector.
