DC Poonch reviews disposal of public grievances

POONCH, JUNE 02, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Poonch today   reviewed the disposal of public grievances pertaining to Lieutenant Governor’s Grievance Cell, New and Old Portal.
He expressed serious concern over the Pendency of grievances and directed the concerned Officers for expediting the redress of each grievance. He set 15 day time for disposal of the grievances from the day it is received.
“There should be an prompt system to ensure quality disposal of grievances pertaining to each department / Office, within the set timeline so that the actual  purpose of the Grievance Portal is served: he directed.
 He directed to the concerned Officers to dispose of all pending grievances on the New Portal by June 5, 2021 (Saturday) positively and the grievances pending on the Old Portal by June 7, 2021 (Monday).
“All the District Officers shall conduct weekly review of the disposal of Grievances by their subordinate Officers/ Offices and shall ensure quality redress within the stipulated time period” he directed further.
The DC informed that a District Grievances App for disposal of Grievances/Complaints pertaining to PDD & PHE Department has also been launched in the District on the directions of Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor.
 The Executive Engineer PHE & Executive Engineer PDD were directed to ensure quick disposal of the complaints/grievances lodged on this Portal and submit the status report thereof on weekly basis.
The meeting was attended by Sr. Superintendent of Police, Assistant  Commissioner (Rev), Assistant  Commissioner Development, District Planning officer, Chief Education officer, Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE, RDD  and BDOs of different blocks.
