Gau-seva (service to cows) has been started by the organisation “Gau-Grass Ek Pahal” with the leftover food items of the kitchen (kitchen waste). Converting the kitchen waste into a resource, the organisation has started giving it to cows in the form of gau-grass. This has revived the culture of providing food to Gau Mata and has also ensured management of wet waste. It is an initiative and effort of the housewives residing in Blue Sky High and Flamingo of Aakriti Eco City, Bhopal to connect more and more households and societies with the initiative of gau-grass and take this innovation to other cities as well.

The Kadamba or Kadam tree planted today is considered to be the tree of deities. Kadamba is famous in Ayurveda for its medicinal properties. Its fruits are like lemons. Kadamba flowers have their own importance. The mention of these fragrant flowers is found in ancient Vedas and ayurvedic compositions. Arjun tree is a medicinal tree, the use of its bark and juice is beneficial in diseases like heart and tuberculosis. This tree grows to a height of 60 to 80 feet. This evergreen tree is found in the foothills and dry places of the Himalayas. Arjun tree is also found in large numbers in Madhya Pradesh.
