BDPO CLERK Narnaul caught red handed by a team of State Vigilance Bureau while accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000

Chandigarh, June 10: A team of State Vigilance Bureau, Haryana caught Vikash Kumar, Clerk, BDPO Office, Narnaul red handed today from the office of Executive Engineer, Electricity Board, situated in front of the BDPO Office,  while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from Sh. Surajbhan r/o Village Lehrauda, Police Station Sadar Narnaul.

Sh. Surajbhan made a complaint to State Vigilance Bureau that their house is situated within the ‘Lal Dora’ of Village Lehrauda. He had applied for the ownership title of the said property. On 08.06.2021, he met to Vikas Kumar, Clerk, BDPO Office in this regard, where the said clerk demanded bribe of Rs. 20,000/- and asked him to come in the office of Executive Engineer, Electricity Board, situated in front of the BDPO Office with the bribe money on June 6, 2020.

After receiving the information, a case was registered in Police Station, SVB, Gurugram.  A team headed by Nawal Kishore, SVB, Narnaul was constituted.   Sh. Vikash Singh, Tehsildar, Narnaul and Sh. Ramchander, Reader to Tehsildar, Narnaul were appointed as Duty Magistrate and Shadow witness respectively. The team of SVB apprehended the said Vikash Kumar, Clerk red handed in the presence of Duty Magistrate and shadow witness while accepting bribe of Rs. 20,000. The accused is being interrogated thoroughly. The investigation of the case is in progress.
