CM inaugurates and lays foundation stones of Rs. 234 crore in Ani Assembly constituency

Announces SDM office at Nirmand in Kullu

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced opening of SDM Office at Nirmand in Kullu district to facilitate the people. He was presiding over the 72nd State level Van Mahotsava function at Nirmand in Kullu district today by planting a sapling of Rudraksh.
Chief Minister also announced upgradation of PHC Nither to Community Health Centre, upgradation of Government High Schools Durah and Kushwa to Government Senior Secondary Schools, upgradation of Primary School Devari to Government Middle School, opening of Sub Division of Jal Shakti Vibhag at Shawar, construction of foot bridge from Bro to Hanuman Ghat, Rampur Bazar, upgradation of Veterinary Dispensary Panjera to Veterinary Hospital.
Jai Ram Thakur said that Luri to Nor road would be upgraded as Major District Road. He said that additional buses would be plied in Ani and Nirmand areas to facilitate the people of the area. He said that adequate funds would be provided for Degree College building at Nirmand. He said that helipad would be constructed at Kufardhar. He also announced Rs. 20 lakh for construction of Press Club building at Ani.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones of developmental projects worth about Rs 234 crore in Ani Vidhan Sabha area of Kullu district. He dedicated 12 developmental projects worth about Rs. 44.60 crore which includes bus stand at Nirmand constructed at a cost of Rs.3.35 crore, Rs. 5.77 crore Arsu-Kundakod road, Rs. 7.26 crore WSS for villages of Gram Panchayat Bari, Tunnan, Poshana, Bahwa, Kharga and Kushwa in Development Block Nirmand, Rs. 4.71 crore LWSS to NC/PC habitation of GP Shilli, Gamog, Lot, Durah in Development Block Ani, Rs.3.55 crore LWSS to NC/PC habitation CV Franali Dingidhar Beungal in Development Block Ani, Rs. 1.87 crore Devthan Tharvi road, Rs. 5.60 crore Sharu Kapti road, Rs. 9.15 crore Industrial Training Institute building, Nirmand, Rs. 51 lakh Kalyan Bhawan Ani, Rs. 60 lakh Forest Rest House Paneo, Rs. 25 lakh Inspection Hut Chunagai and Rs. 1.98 crore 22 KV Control Point at Dhanudhar.
Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones of 17 developmental projects worth Rs. 189.20 crore including Rs. 27.58 crore augmentation of various water supply scheme on the left bank of Kurpan khad in Development Block Nirmand, Rs.11.60 crore CAD work to FIS Kurpan Kuhal, Rs. 2.37 crore CAD work to FIS Nore Lanj in Development Block Nirmand, Rs. 20.77 crore augmentation/remodelling of WSS Shanu, Jater, WSS Nirmand and WSS Remu Kedas, WSS Chatti, WSS Bail Dharopa and WSS Koil in Development Block Nirmand, Rs. 2.28 crore augmentation of LWSS Kashaigad, Digerh in CV Karshaigad and Bishladhar in Developmental Block Ani, Rs. 3.20 crore LWSS from Behna khad to Shegubag in GP Dingidhar in Developmental Block Ani, Rs. 1.78 crore augmentation of LWSS Khun Bandal Kohila Kamand, Rs. 2.63 crore CAD work to FIS Koil in Development Block Nirmand, Rs. 21.35 crore augmentation/remodelling of WSS Khanag, WSS Nagot, Palli Parkot and WSS Khadvi Kafti in Development Block Anni.
Chief Minister also performed foundation stones laying ceremonies of Rs. 17.69 crore augmentation of WSS Rathi Nalla, WSS Nagachow and WSS Nither, Dehra and Kathar in Development Block Nirmand, Rs. 6.85 crore upgradation of Durah to Dwarch road, Rs. 1.12 crore six additional rooms in Rest House Ani, Rs. 55 lakh Kalyan Bhawan Nirmand, Rs. 94 lakh Sub Treasury building Ani, Rs. 1.55 crore PHC Khanag, Rs. 66.62 crore 100 bedded Civil Hospital Ani and Rs. 30 lakh Inspection Hut Sarahar.
While addressing a largely attended public meeting people at Nirmand, Chief Minister said that being a hilly state, the forests of Himachal have special importance. They not only contribute significantly in balancing the delicate environment of the Himalayan region but also play an important role in the rural economy of the State. He said that target has been fixed to plant about 1.40 crore saplings on over 14,000 hectare area this year in different parts of the State. He said that ‘Ek Buta Beti Ke Naam’ has also been launched in the State to ensure empowerment of girl child and also increase forest cover in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the Himalayas were the lungs of the Nation and it was our duty to conserve and protect forests. He said that Self Help Groups, Mahila Mandals and other NGOs were doing an appreciable work in conservation of forests. He said that during this two day campaign, about 11 lakh saplings would be planted throughout the State at 246 places under various forest divisions. He said that this year Forest Department was providing 51 saplings to ward members of municipalities and panchayats for plantation in their respective areas with the help of local community. He said that one lakh additional saplings would be planted by the Red Cross during this year. He said that 3500 hectare land in the area would be made Lantana free during the current financial year.
Chief Minister thanked the people of Ani for providing a lead of over 27000 votes to the BJP candidate during the last Lok Sabha elections. He said that the State Government has done exceptionally well in management of Corona pandemic and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the steps taken by the State in this direction. He said that Prime Minister also appreciated the State in successful implementation of vaccination campaign. He said that the State has ensured zero percent wastage of vaccine and cent percent population of tribal districts have been provided first dose of vaccine.
Jai Ram Thakur also detailed various developmental schemes launched by the State Government for the welfare of the people and development of the State. He said that HimCare, Sahara Yojna, Himachal Grihini Suvidha Yojna etc. have proved boon to poor and needy in the State.
Chief Minister said that the State recently lost six time Chief Minister and a mass leader Virbhadra Singh. He said that despite being from different political parties, we both shared mutual respect for each other. He said that demise of former Chief Minister was not only a loss for the particular Political Party but also for the entire State.
Chief Minister also released a booklet highlighting the developmental milestones achieved in Ani Vidhan Sabha area during the present tenure of the State Government.
Various social, cultural, political and Non Government Organisations felicitated and honoured the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Chief Minister also honoured forest officers, officials, village forest committees etc. for their outstanding contribution in afforestation and conservation of forests and wildlife. He also provided saplings to ward member of municipalities and panchayat, for plantation with the help of local community in their respective areas.
Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur thanked the Chief Minister and Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania for selecting the land of Lord Parshuram for organising the 72nd State level Van Mahotsava. He thanked the Chief Minister for successfully guiding the State through the testing times of Corona pandemic by ensuring adequate availability of logistics such as oxygen, medicines, masks and vaccine in the State. He also thanked the Chief Minister for introducing ‘Har Ghar Pathshala’ for ensuring that the studies of the students do not suffer due to the Corona pandemic.
Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania said that State Government was giving utmost priority to conserve the forests and giving importance for increasing the ground level water table so that the requirement of drinking water and irrigation requirements of local people can be fulfilled. He said that this year the forest department has set a target of planting about 1.40 crore saplings on 14000 hectare forest area. He said that a special two day plantation campaign was also being run on 20th and 21st July, 2021 under which 10 lakh saplings would be planted by different sections of the society, local people and institutions.
MLA Ani Kishori Lal, while welcoming the Chief Minister and other dignitaries, detailed various developmental demands of the area. He also thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating developmental works worth crores of rupees in Ani Vidhan Sabha area. He also urged the Chief Minister for development of Ani area from tourism point of view. He also thanked the Chief Minister for creating 11 new panchayats in his Vidhan Sabha area which would give boost to development at the grassroot level.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Dr. Savita said that the target of the department was to increase the green cover of the State by 30 percent by 2030 through these plantation programs which is 27.72 percent at present.
