Laljit Singh Bhullar assures veterinary doctors to restore pay parity

Animal Husbandry Minister along with veterinary doctors to meet finance minister next week

Chandigarh, April 3 :- 

          Punjab Animal Husbandry Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar, on Monday, assured veterinary doctors of the department to restore the parity in their pay scale.

          During the meeting with delegation of Joint Action Committee of Vets for Pay Parity at his official residence, the Cabinet Minister agreed with the demand of the veterinary doctors, while assuring to arrange a panel meeting with the Finance Minister to resolve their demand at the earliest.

          The Cabinet Minister categorically said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Mann led government is committed to resolve the legitimate demands of the employees on priority.

          The delegation apprised the Animal Husbandry Minister that previous Congress government has disrupted the long-standing pay parity of veterinary doctors with medical officers by reducing the entry scale of veterinary doctors from Rs.56100 to Rs.47600. The minister assured the delegation to restore the pay parity with medicos.

          Joint Action Committee Co-convener Dr. Kanwaranup Kaler, Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dr. Majid Azad, Dr. Gurdeep Kaler, Media Incharge Dr. Gurinder Singh Walia and Dr. Parampal Singh, Patiala zone Organizer Dr. Sarbdeep Singh and Social Media Incharge Dr. Akshpreet Singh were also present during the meeting.
