‘A Kalash Yatra and Tantya Mama Memorial programme is being organized to convey the invaluable sacrifice and sense of patriotism to the people of the immortal martyr revolutionary Tantya Mama, who sacrificed his life for the country. We should make efforts to ensure maximum participation of people in this event and incorporate the thoughts of Jannayak Tantya Mama in themselves.’With these guidelines, Home Minister and Indore district in-charge Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra today reviewed the preparations for the Tantya Mama Memorial programme to be held on December 4, 2021 at Patalpani, Indore. MP Shri Shankar Lalwani, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Shri Harinarayan Chari Mishra, Collector Shri Manish Singh, DIG Shri Manish Kapuria and other public representatives were present in the meeting.

Minister in-charge Dr. Mishra directed that various activities should be conducted regularly in the coming week to ensure public participation in this grand programme organized on the occasion of Balidan Diwas. He directed the Divisional Commissioner to ensure that food, rest and all other basic arrangements for the people attending the programme should be ensured. He said that traffic arrangements should be taken care of during the Rath Yatra and adequate teams should be appointed to maintain law and order. Adequate parking arrangement should also be ensured for the people coming to the venue by bus and other means. Minister Dr. Mishra, while reviewing other necessary arrangements, gave necessary directions to conduct the Tantya Mama Memorial programme with full honour.

While apprising Minister Dr. Mishra with the preparations for the memorial programme on Tantya Mama’s Balidan Diwas, MP Shri Lalwani said that from December 1, cultural programmes will be held at major squares of Indore city. Indore will be ready to welcome the Kalash Yatra on December 3. The people of the city will join the yatra and pay homage to Tantya Mama. He said that all transportation arrangements have been made to take the Vanvasis, students and youth residing in the district to the venue.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma informed that the descendants of Jannayak Tantya Mama will also participate in the Kalash Yatra and Memorial programme. A doctors team will also be available along with arrangement for people’s stay and food during the journey. He informed that the Kalash Yatra will be taken out from Barod Ahir, the birth place of Jannayak Tantya Mama, on November 27 and the Yatra will start from Sailana on November 29.

Both the yatras will reach Dhar on December 3, passing through different districts of Indore and Ujjain divisions. After this both the yatras will reach Patalpani on December 4. The Divisional Commissioner said that necessary arrangements for travel have been ensured after discussion with the district collectors and coordinating with various organizations regarding the preparations.
