MCM students visit Le Corbusier Museum

Chandigarh 18 March 2023  :-

In a collaborative initiative, the Add-on courses in French and Interior Designing and Decoration at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, organised an educational visit to the Le Corbusier Museum. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint the students with the city’s heritage and its architecture. The museum displays the works of the renowned French-Swiss architect Le Corbusier and exhibits his life, hence it was an interesting and informative experience for the students of both the courses. What caught the students’ attention was the huge installation of the map of Chandigarh and its surrounding areas; they were awe inspired to see the planning of the different sectors. The field trip ended up with an equally delightful experience of visiting the souvenir shop located in the premises of the museum itself.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava applauded the organisers for widening the horizons of the students through this visit that brought them closer to the City Beautiful’s unique heritage. She added that the college organises such visits on a regular basis with the objective of ensuring holistic development of the students.
