More than 5300 MW of solar power is being produced daily in Madhya Pradesh: CM Shri Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh is fast moving towards fulfilling the target of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of meeting 50 percent of the country’s energy requirement till 2030 with solar energy. Every effort is being made in the state to achieve this target within the stipulated time. More than 5300 MW of solar power is being produced in the state every day. Solar energy is also being given special emphasis from the point of view of environmental protection. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Prime Minister Shri Modi has provided electricity to every poor man’s hut. Madhya Pradesh is today self-sufficient in power generation. The state is producing 22,000 MW of electricity per day. The state government is generating electricity by all means including water, coal, wind and sun. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told to save electricity, plant trees and secure oneself by getting one’s family, state and country by getting Corona vaccines.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister for Energy and New and Renewable Energy Shri R.K. Singh performed bhoomi-pujan in Shajapur today and signed the purchase contract of 1500 MW capacity solar power parks of Agar, Shajapur and Neemuch at a cost of Rs.5250 crores. They also signed contracts with private investors for Pradhan Mantri Kusum-A Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan launched ‘USHA’ – Urja Saksharta Abhiyan for the purpose of public awareness in the field of power.

 

Union Minister for Energy and New and Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh said that the government has provided electricity to every village and every household. If any house has been left out, it must be notified so that electricity can be provided there too. The government has made one lakh 59 thousand kilometers of electricity grid and has provided electricity to every household up to Leh, Ladakh. Today, we have the capacity to transfer one lakh 12 thousand MW power per day.

 

Union Minister Shri Singh said that work is being done at a fast pace to provide clean and cheap electricity through solar energy in the country. Exemplary work is being done in this area in Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in the country in solar power generation. Shri Singh informed that the scheme of free ration supply to the poor till the month of November by the Government of India has now been extended till March 31, 2022.

 

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan told to save electricity, plant trees and protect oneself, family, state and country by getting both the vaccines of Corona virus. He said that electricity is being provided to the poor in the state at the rate of Rs 100 per month. The government is giving a grant of Rs 21 thousand crore every year on electricity bills.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that it is a matter of great happiness that the number of girls per thousand in Madhya Pradesh has increased from 905 to 956 in the last five years. Many schemes are being run in the state for the educational, health and economic development for the welfare of daughters in the state, including Ladli Laxmi Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that arrangements are being made for food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education and employment for every person in the state. The government is making arrangements for fair price ration, pucca housing, residential land rights, fees for education, free treatment, employment and self-employment. There will be recruitments on more than one lakh government jobs in the coming one year. Urban and rural street vendor schemes are being run for self-employment. Government loans of up to Rs 50 lakh will be given to young entrepreneurs through Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyam Kranti Yojana.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that self-help groups are being strengthened for women empowerment. They will be provided an amount of Rs 2500 crore in the coming one year for various activities. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan appealed to more and more women to join self-help groups.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan dedicated / performed bhoomi-pujan of 89 works costing Rs.88 crore 66 lakh in Shajapur district. Of these, 10 works costing Rs 75 crore 93 lakh including Government Law College Building Shajapur, Joint Tehsil Office Building Polayakalan and Avantipur Barodia, Government College Building Moman Barodia, Government Ayurvedic Dispensary Ranayal, One Stop Center Building Shajapur, Pipalyagurjar Beraj, New Police Station Moman Barodia and Deluxe Sulabh Complex were dedicated and bhoomi pujan of 13 other works to be undertaken at a cost of Rs 12 crore 73 lakh was held.
