New Doors of Progress will be opened with Atal Pragati Path : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan held discussions with Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and representatives of farmers through video conference regarding Atal Progress-Way from his residence. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Atal Pragati Path will open new doors of progress in Chambal region. New industries will flourish here. With the development of industrial cluster, the value of land will increase. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Central Government has given approval for the Atal Progress Way. It is a matter of good fortune for Madhya Pradesh. This is an important step taken by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the economic progress of Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister Shri Gadkari has linked Atal Progress-Way with Bharat Mala Pariyojana. With the construction of this progress-way, along with providing employment to the youths in large numbers, economic activities will develop in the entire Chambal region. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that after the construction of Atal Progress Way, Madhya Pradesh will be connected in a better way with Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The farmer class and all other sections will also be benefitted directly and indirectly. It is also a project of shaping the future for the coming generations.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the total length of Atal Pragati Path would be 404 km. Necessary provision is being made in the interest of farmers regarding land acquisition. Farmers who want land instead of land or want amount, they will be given its benefit. The state government has given 1600 hectares of government land to NHAI. For the remaining 1460 hectares of private land, it is proposed by the government to give double the land. Most of the farmers are agreeing with this. Atal Pragati Path will be built by providing cash compensation of twice the market value. All sections will benefit from the project of total Rs 8000 crore. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan urged the farmer brothers to extend necessary cooperation in land acquisition works. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also expected the concerned collectors to take action to give compensation to the people in a transparent manner by doing survey work within the time-limit.  Union Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that with the approval of Atal Pragati Path by the Central Government, a massive change will come in Chambal region. Large area of ​​the state will benefit. Follow-up of the works of the project is also being done by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan from time to time. In the coming time, along with the farmers, other sections will also get the benefit of this project.

After preparation of 404 km alignment, detailed survey and DPR for Atal Pragati Path, the competent committee of National Highways Authority of India has given its approval. After the National Highway is notified, various activities are being conducted for land acquisition. A compensation of about Rs 335 crore is estimated to be given for the acquisition of private land.  Atal Pragati Path will connect Rajasthan-Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh. The project will also connect the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway and Agra-Kanpur Highway towards the east and the East-West Corridor towards the west. Atal Pragati Path will pass through Sheopur-Morena and Bhind districts in a length of 313 km. The process of including it in Bharat Mala project has also been completed. The Industries Department has also prepared an action plan for the coming years. According to this, efforts to start the logistics hub in Bhind district, leather and non-leather, technical textile, logistics, food processing and multi product industrial areas in Morena district and agro-based activities in Sheopur district will take concrete form. For the expansion of the existing industrial areas of Chambal region, land is also being identified in the villages around the industrial areas located in Bhind, Morena and Gwalior districts.

Principal Secretary Public Works Shri Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary Public Relations Shri Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Secretary Chief Minister Shri Selvandrum, Commissioner Gwalior along with District Collectors of Gwalior, Morena, Bhind and Sheopur were present.
