Students got first hand knowledge about working of Legislative Assembly

Students of Government Senior Secondary School Pakhi Kalan, District Faridkot visited Punjab Vidhan Sabha under the guidance of school teachers. The aim of this visit was to provide first hand experience to the students about the political system and the working of the Vidhan Sabha.
The officials of Punjab Vidhan Sabha imparted detailed information to the students about the legislative work in the Vidhan Sabha, ruling party, opposition and Speaker’s Chair etc.
On this occasion, the students were also given information about the heritage building of the Vidhan Sabha and about the architect Le Corbusier.
Earlier, the delegation of students led by teachers Hardeep Singh, Sukhdev Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Rajdeep Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Narinder Kumar, Sukhmander Singh, Gurmail Singh etc. and school staff visited official residence of Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, the delegation was received by the Speaker’s wife, Mrs. Gurpreet Kaur Sandhwan. On this occasion, food was also arranged for the students and school staff.
