Vaccination drive under 18 to 44 years age group gets kick-started at B’gam

BUDGAM, MAY 25, 2021: The Vaccination drive under 18 to 44 years of age group was kick started here today from Court Complex  Budgam in presence of Principal District and Sessions Judge (PD&SJ) Budgam, Mohammad Ashraf Malik; Secretary DLSA, Fozia Paul; CMO Budgam, Dr. Tajamul Hussain and BMO AG Raina.
Talking to media persons, the PD&SJ Budgam said that pursuant to the directions of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey relating to active participation in the vaccination drive, an overwhelming response has been observed from all concerned affiliated to legal fraternity including lawyers, bar members and other judicial employees in getting vaccinated enthusiastically.
The PD&SJ Budgam thanked and hailed the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Budgam and active support of CMO Budgam for their commitment vis-à-vis ensuring facilitation of vaccines for kick-starting the drive from the lawns of Court complex Budgam.
He further said that relentless dedication and commitment demonstrated by all Covid-19 warriors particularly from the Health and Medical department with due support from all subordinate workers in the hour of crisis is appreciable.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, CMO Budgam Dr. Tajamul Hussain said that 23 sessions sites have been established across the district where vaccines were administered to the persons falling under the target age group.
He said at Court Complex Budgam vaccines will be administered to judges, fraternity of judicial, magistrates, lawyers, bar association members, besides media persons affiliated to different news network agencies also got vaccinated in large numbers.
CMO further said that a similar drive is going on at ARTO Budgam office and other designated spots where apart from employees, drivers, conductors and other persons affiliated to this sector are also being vaccinated.
Dr Tajamul assured that there is no shortage or scarcity of vaccines, adding that sufficient quantities of vaccine are available with them and further they are receiving a fresh lot of vaccines regularly as and when demand is projected.
