Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that a fixed amount for purchasing text books would be provided to the students of Government Schools studying upto Class VIII.

Chandigarh June 15:- Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that a fixed amount for purchasing text books would be provided to the students of Government Schools studying upto Class VIII. Sh. Kanwar Pal was interacting with the media persons after the Haryana Cabinet meeting here.

He said that since the process of tendering of text books was taking long time, so the Government has decided to give money for the text books. However, students studying in senior classes are also being asked to give their text books to students studying in junior classes, he added.

While replying to another question, he said that the result of class XII will be released soon. He said that the decision of increasing the school holidays is under consideration. Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal was also present during the occasion.
