Chandigarh, July 13 – Haryana has successfully administered COVID-19 vaccine to 1 crore beneficiaries of the targeted 1.75 crore beneficiaries today. With the ongoing speculations of a third wave of the highly contagious virus, the State Government had escalated the vaccine administration process and mobilized available resources in last one month resulting in improving the vaccine doses administered from 57 lakh beneficiaries in the first week of June to 1 crore in the consecutive month.
Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson of the Health Department said that this has been possible due to the untiring efforts of the Healthcare workers (HCWs), officials of Urban Local Bodies Department, Police Department, Line Departments and the print and broadcast media who have been promoting the administration of vaccine.
He elaborated that the Health Department aims to administer vaccine to maximum beneficiaries as the COVID third wave is being speculated. The spokesperson said that in all 1,00,56,163 vaccine doses have been administered till now of which Health Care Workers (HCWs) have been administered a total of 4,14,051 doses till now. Divulging more details he said that around 2,46,931 HCWs have been administered the first dose till today and 1,67,120 HCWs have been administered the second dose till today.
Similarly, around 3,79,268 doses have been administered to Front Line Workers (FLWs) till now. Divulging more details he said that around 2,43,124 FLWs have been administered the first dose till now and 1,36,144 FLWs have been administered the second dose have been till now.
