Takes stock of survey works of Shinkula tunnel
KARGIL SEPTEMBER 18, 2020: Managing Director, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways, Government of India Keshav Kumar Pathak arrived Zanskar on Wednesday to take stock of the survey works on Shinkula Tunnel.
On his arrival to Zanskar, the Managing Director was accorded a rousing traditional reception at Lingshed Dho by the Executive Councillor Zanskar Affairs Er Phunsog Tashi, Councillor Cha Stanzin Lakpa, Area Development Officer/Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar Sonam Dorjay, Presidents of Zanskar Buddhist Association and Gonpa Association Zanskar, PRI members and cultural troops of Zangla village accorded him a.
Later on Thursday, the MD along with the Area Development Officer/SDM Zanskar and Councillor Cha Stanzin Lakpa along with other concerned officers visited Shinkula where the team of engineers of NHIDCL are presently doing survey works.
En route to Shinkula Pass, the MD was given a ceremonial reception at Skiing and Kargaik Village.
K.K Pathak presented the villagers solar panels and batteries on the occasion.
