DC Kargil takes stock of healthcare facilities at CHC Sankoo, functioning of Fish Farm Damsna

KARGIL, MARCH 03, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve during his visit to Sankoo Sub Division today took stock of health and medicare facilities at Community Health Center (CHC), Sankoo.

Senior Superintendent of Police Kargil Anayat Ali Choudhary, Additional SP Iftikhar Talib Choudhary, SDM Sankoo Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Executive Engineet, Suru Valley Division Sankoo Shabir Hussain, BMO Sankoo Dr Ghulam Muhammad besides other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the tour.

  At CHC Sankoo, DC Santosh Sukhadeve inspected various sections of the health center including the OPD, Casualty Block, other sections and wards and took stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to the patients.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the patients and attendants and enquired about the level of services provided to them. He instructed the BMO Sankoo to ensure that the roster is strictly followed and patients are served with utmost sincerity and care, adding he stressed on maintaining proper cleanliness of the wards besides maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital.

DC Santosh Sukhadeve exhorted upon the doctors and paramedical staff to put in dedicated efforts to extend best possible healthcare facilities to patients of Sankoo and adjoining villages at the CHC.

Responding to the demand for deployment of sweepers at the CHC, the Deputy Commissioner assured that appropriate measures in this regard will be taken in due course of time.

Later, during his visit to Fish Farm Damsna, the Deputy Commissioner inquired from the concerned officers about the overall functioning of the farm including trout fish production.

During the inspection of the farm and the hatchery there, the DC Santosh Sukhadeve exhorted upon the concerned officers to make concerted efforts towards raising the production of trout fish to meet the protein requirement of the people as fish has balanced nutritional values as compared to other meats like mutton and chicken.
