Haryana Government deputes 22 IAS officers as in-charges of the districts for monitoring  COVID-19 preparedness

Chandigarh,  May 1:  In view of the present spurt in COVID-19 cases across the state, Haryana Government has deputed 22 IAS Officers/Administrative Secretaries as in-charges of the districts for monitoring COVID-19 preparedness.

These IAS officers during their visit/stay in the districts assigned to them would monitor the availability of beds, review availability of adequate health care infrastructure such as isolation beds, oxygen support beds, ICU beds, ventilators, life-saving drugs and consumables (masks, PPE kits, sanitizers, etc) oxygen reserve etc. in both Government as well as in private health facilities.

Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal has been deputed as the in-charge of Faridabad district.

Sh. Varinder Singh Kundu has been deputed as the in-charge of Rewari district.

Sh. Pranab Kishore Das has been deputed as the in-charge of Kaithal district.

Sh. Alok Nigam has been deputed as the in-charge of Panchkula district.

Smt. Dheera Khandelwal has been deputed as the in-charge of Jind district.

Sh. Devender Singh has been deputed as the in-charge of Karnal district.

Sh. Amit Jha has been deputed as the in-charge of Sonipat.

Sh. Siddhi Nath Roy has been deputed as the in-charge of Ambala district.

Dr. Mahavir Singh has been deputed as the in-charge of Fatehabad district.

Sh. Sudhir Rajpal has been deputed as the in-charge of Gurugram district.

Smt. Sumita Misra has been deputed as the in-charge of Jhajjar.

Sh. Anurag Rastogi has been deputed as the in-charge of Hisar district.

Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan has been deputed as the in-charge of Rohtak district.

Sh. Raja Sekhar Vundru has been deputed as the in-charge of Palwal district.

Sh. Ashok Khemka has been deputed as the in-charge of Nuh district.

Sh. Vineet Garg has been deputed as the in-charge of Sirsa district.

Ms. G. Anupama has been deputed as the in-charge of Kurukshetra district.

Sh. Apoorva Kumar Singh has been deputed as the in-charge of Panipat district.

Smt. Deepti Umashankar has been deputed as the in-charge of Yamunanagar district.

Sh. Anurag Agarwal has been deputed as the in-charge of Mahendragarh district.

Sh. D.Suresh has been deputed as the in-charge of Charkhi Dadri district.

Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav has been deputed as the in-charge of Bhiwani district.

The roles and responsibilities of the Administrative Secretaries-in-Charges include ensuring the addition of more private hospitals for COVID-19 treatment/setting up of makeshift facilities for medical treatment of COVID patients wherever required/feasible, increase contract tracing of active COVID positive cases.

Reviewing and monitoring the progress of testing (RT PCR/Antigen Test), setting up of macro/micro containment zones by district administration, arrangements of monitoring/tele-consultation of COVID patients under home isolation.

The officers will also ensure enforcement of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour such as social distancing, wearing face masks, hand hygiene etc. at all public places along with the strict implementation of orders issued  by the State Government regarding the restrictions of social gathering especially in banquet halls for marriages/other family functions.

The officers will also  ensure enlisting the support of NGOs/Social and Voluntary Organisations for organizing food and other material help for patients. They will also monitor the prices and availability of essential commodities and the availability of liquid Medical Oxygen(LMO), oxygen cylinders and it’s smooth supply from various allocated oxygen plants.

Besides this, Shri T.C. Gupta will  oversee and supervise the functioning of the State Control Room at Chandigarh/Panchkula. He shall also supervise the functioning of all helplines (including the Oxygen Helpline) and directly report to the Chief Secretary regarding the same.
