Chandigarh March 6: Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department, Haryana, P.K Das said that during the times of the changing season, ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of the state is the utmost priority of the State Government. He said that 10894 MW of electricity was used during the summer months last year. This year 12187 MW power is currently available.

P.K Das was addressing a state-level meeting held at Shakti Bhawan, Panchkula with of all Managing Directors and Engineer Groups of Electricity.

P.K Das while giving directions regarding pre-diagnosis of the problems related to electricity supply during the upcoming summer season, said that the problem of overloaded transfers should be immediately eliminated and repair of 11 kV Sub-station and Low tension Lines should be done so that even in the summer season, power supply can continue smoothly without interruption.

Das said that to solve the problem, long feeder should be divided and converted into smaller feeders. Capacitor bank should be operated smoothly at all stations. If 11 kV line is being tripped frequently, then area-related XEN should find out the reasons and report the same to the concerned area SEs, said P.K. Das.

While directing the officers of Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and SEs of DISCOM, P.K Das said that inspection of the sub-stations of their respective areas should be done with immediate effect and the flaws found for the proper electricity supply to be resolved in the summer and monsoon season.

On this occasion, Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL), T.L. Satyaprakash, Managing Director, Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) Mohammed Shayin, Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Shashank Anand and other Directors, Chief Engineer and other officers were present.
