Vaccination on wheels campaign launched in Reasi for scaling up inoculation: DC

REASI, JUNE, 01, 2021: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today said that the district administration has launched the Vaccination on wheels campaign to inoculate all age appropriate persons in the district  in the shortest possible time.

Charandeep Singh was briefing media persons about current covid situation in district including testing and vaccination status.

The DC further informed that daily positivity rate has declined  to 1.16% and recovery rate has increased upto 90% indicating good outcome of control and management measures taken by the district administration .

Giving details of covid specific health care facilities created in the district, he said 153 Panchayat level Covid Care Centres have been established to provide treatment and isolation facilities to infected patients in rural areas.

He also mentioned the “Vaccination on wheels” campaign for door to door   vaccination. In this regard, the DC Charandeep Singh also mentioned about Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha’s tweet appreciating Vaccination of  Sher Mohammad (118 age) who was inoculated during  Mobile vaccination drive. He further added that a vaccination grid has been set up which will work at village level for monitoring the progress to ensure 100% vaccination coverage.

The DC added that active involvement of DDC members, BDC chairpersons and sarpanchs will help in mobilizing the public for vaccination.

He further mentioned about the special vaccination drive launched this week involving BDOs, Tehsildars and PRIs to ensure 100% vaccination coverage.
