Ladakh: CEO, ZDA convenes meeting of tourism stakeholders

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Zanskar Development Authority (ZDA) and Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar Sonam Dorjay chaired a meeting of Tourism related stakeholders at Tourist Dak Bungalow Padum on Monday.
During the course of the meeting, the CEO, ZDA instructed the taxi operators to abstain from charging exorbitant taxi fares on various routes or face strict action, as a number of complaints have been received from the general public in this regard.
The CEO also informed during the meeting that the roadshow scheduled at Jispa, Keylong and Manali is postponed for now due to heavy snowfall in Zanskar and Kyelong District of Himachal Pradesh.
He further said that in order to promote tourism in Zanskar Sub Division, a publicity brochure shall be published very soon for which the material and other information required is under preparation.
The CEO requested the travel agents to submit their valuable suggestions for the compilation of the publicity brochure.
The meeting was attended by Tourist Officer Zanskar Abdul Aziz, besides the representatives of Tour and Travel, Hotel, Guest House and Taxi Operators of Zanskar Sub Division.
