Taking serious note of power outrages, Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan in a virtual meeting with the officials of PSPCL, directed them to ensure uninterrupted power supply to people. He said that in case of damage to transmission lines or breakage of wires due to inclement weather, for the resumption of power supply help may be sought from the local SDMs, Municipal Commissioner or Eos, as the case may be.
The constant rise in the mercury mandates power availability for the public said he and added that the onset of paddy season also calls for eight hours uninterrupted power supply to the farmers, so all requisite measures to ensure the same.
He said that the telephone numbers of officials handling power complaints be adequately publicised and the numbers should be up and working; do attend to public grievances and redress them at the earliest, he exhorted.
He was apprised that in order to provide uninterrupted power supply during the summer season, the required repair of transformers, HT / LT Lines, 66 KV lines has been completed and they have been under-loaded so that there is no problem in power supply.

In case the phone lines are busy, a message can be sent to 1912 by typing NO SUPPLY to lodge an automatic complaint.
In addition consumers can contact the Nodal Complaint Centre regarding power supply. In case the power problem is not resolved, the concerned Sub Divisional Officer can be informed telephonically. If the power supply problem persists, then the matter may be brought to the notice of the concerned XEN.
Supervising Engineer Mohit Sood made an appeal to farmers that they may get the faulty capacitors on their tubewell connections repaired. They should use power only as per the approved load. The unauthorized load / power theft should be reported by calling or via WhatsApp message at mobile number 96461-75770. The Complaints should be made on 0172-2237991.
