MCM holds anti-ragging orientation session

CHANDIGARH 11 OCTOBER 2021,

The Anti-Ragging Committee and the Hostel Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised an Orientation Programme for the residents of the hostel. Addressing the 104 participants on the occasion, Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava introduced the students to the glorious heritage of the institution established in the memory of the legal luminary Justice Mehr Chand Mahajan, former Chief Justice of India. She also exhorted the students to strive for excellence and maintain a ragging-free campus. The Convener of the Anti-Ragging Committee Dr Bindu Sharma, through a power point presentation, sensitised the students about the various forms of ragging and introduced the mandatory regulations of UGC to control the menace of ragging. Ms. Baljeet Tiwana and Dr Jasmine Anand, Dean and Co-ordinator of the Hostel Committee, respectively also interacted with the students and announced the formation of Student Anti-Ragging Squad in the hostel.
