MCM holds session on Portfolio Management for Budding Entrepreneurs

The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh, in collaboration with the Start-Up Cell of the college, organised an online session on ‘Budding Entrepreneurs: Is Your Portfolio Bespoke Enough’.The resource person for this session was Ms. Mahima Sindhi, Personality Shaper and Skills Sculpturist. The session witnessed participation of 76 students who took keen interest in portfolio building as demonstrated elaborately by the resource person. Ms. Mahima enlightened the participants about the importance of entrepreneurship and portfolio management. She added that creating a good digital profile, setting personal goals and self-learning exercises are some of the essentials for being a successful entrepreneur. She also discussed Ikigai- an ancient Japanese philosophy that focuses on the journey of self-discovery, and explained as to how a growth mindset focused on constructive feedback, positive attitude and determination is better than a fixed mindset.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava hailed this initiative as a meaningful effort towards sowing the seeds of entrepreneurship in the young minds, thereby laying the strong foundation for Atmanirbhar Bharat. She lauded the concerted efforts of IIC and Start-Up aimed at promoting the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among the students.
