Patiala (15.08.2022) :- Under the leadership of Principal (Dr.) Parminder Singh at the Government (State) College of Education, under the campaign of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ started by the Government of India to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence, Dr. Balbir Singh, MLA Rural, Patiala hoisted the National Flag. After that the National Anthem was sung by all the present dignitaries, staff members and students. On this occasion, Dr. Balbir Singh paid tribute to the portraits of martyrs, scholars and scientists installed on the wall of the college and shed light on their contribution to the freedom and development of India. Apart from this, he congratulated the college principal Dr. Parminder Singh for maintaining the high traditions of the college and especially appreciated the contribution made by the teachers in the field of education in today’s context. After that, he gave prizes to the winners of the ‘best tiranga selfie contest’. He presented his valuable thoughts regarding independence and congratulated the college staff members and students on the 75th anniversary of independence.
