KARGIL, JULY 26, 2021: Member Parliament (MP) Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal inaugurated 4 Jio mobile towers under the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) at Barsoo Nala and Sankoo here today.
The MP was accompanied by Councillor Cha Stanzin Lakpa, Nominated Councillors Leela Banoo and Zainab Bee, BDC Chaipersons and Panchayat Members of the area.
The MP inaugurated the mobile towers and dedicated them to the public at Shargandee, Bartoo, Karchay Khar and Sankoo. He also met several public delegations and listened to their demands and grievances.
The public representatives of the area appraised the MP about various issues which included demand for installation of more mobile towers in the area and other related issues.
Interacting with the locals, the MP informed that 63 towers have been sanctioned all over Ladakh, out of which 25 have already been completed while another 15 are under the process of installation. He further said that mobile towers are also in pipeline for Itchoo and Pangbar in Barsoo Nalah.
The locals while putting up their developmental needs before the MP demanded for up-gradation of schools, installation of more mobile towers, enhancement of internet speed, construction of roads among various other issues.
The MP gave patient listening to the public demands and assured to take requisite measures for fulfilment in a phased manner.
