Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi today held discussions with the Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of different states of the country through video conferencing

Chandigarh, January 13 – Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi today held discussions with the Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of different states of the country through video conferencing and gave necessary guidelines so as to contain the spread of the new variant of COVID-19, Omicron.

On this occasion, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij joined from Chandigarh through video conferencing.

The Central Government appreciated the steps taken by the Haryana Government to contain the spread of COVID-19 was the key highlight of this meeting. The Union Health Secretary lauded the State of Haryana for optimum utilisation of the funds allotted by the Central Government to the states so as to strengthen the health resources. Besides this, Haryana is also one of the states with a higher percentage of vaccination than the national average. Similarly, Haryana is also among the states that have higher than the national average in terms of vaccination of adolescents falling within the age group of 15 -18 years.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. D.S Dhesi, Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Sh. Rajeev Arora, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Smt. Ashima Brar and other senior officers were present.  was present.
