Punjab Government appointed Dr. Yog Raj Sharma as Chairman of Punjab School Education Board

The Punjab Government has appointed Dr. Yog Raj Sharma as the Chairman of Punjab School Education Board. The notification regarding this was issued this evening.

According to a spokesperson of the Punjab government, the appointment will be for a period of 3 years or till the age of 66 years (whichever is earlier). The terms and conditions of the appointment will be decided later.

Dr. Yog Raj Sharma is an eminent scholar of Punjabi language. He has published more than half a dozen books and almost two dozen of research papers. His work on Bhai Vir Singh and Ravinder Ravi was specially in the center of discussion. He has made significant contributions to the field of drama, fiction and literary criticism. He played an important role as Professor in the Department of Punjabi Development at Punjabi University, Patiala. He holds a doctorate degree and he is M.A. (Hons) Punjabi, M.A. Hind and M.A. journalism and mass communication. He has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience. He has also worked on number of projects. He has also been a former senator of Punjabi University Patiala.
