Taking stock of the progress of welfare schemes for Children and women in border area through virtual meeting, Punjab State Social Welfare Board Chairperson Mrs. Gursharan Kaur Randhawa today asked Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) to fill up the vacant posts of supervisors, anganwadi workers and helpers in all the blocks for better implementation of the welfare schemes and smooth functioning.
Presiding over online meeting of the CDPOs of ICDS Blocks in border districts Amritsar (Harsha Chhina), Gurdaspur (Dera Baba Nanak), Fazilka (Khuiyan Sarwar), Ferozepur (Makhu) and Tarn Taran (Bhikhiwind) under the ambit of the board, the chairperson asked the participants to use mask, sanitizer, social distance to avoid corona and make aware others.
After reviewing the performance of the blocks, thorough discussions were held for better implementation of welfare schemes for children and women at block level. The Chairperson said that vacancies of supervisors, anganwadi workers and helpers of the blocks should be filled up adhering to the directions of the state government so that all the blocks could function in a smooth manner. Apart from this, administrative issues of five blocks were also discussed and many issues were settled during the meeting. Mrs. Randhawa directed all CDPOs and other officials to work diligently during the times of corona.
During the meeting, Board Secretary Mrs. Abhishek Kumar, CDPOs Mrs. Meena, Mrs. Kusum Sharma, Mrs. Sanju, Mrs. Sudesh, Mrs. Jyoti Kalra and other employees were present.
